Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Math Quest ("we," "us," "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When a parent or guardian creates an account, we collect the email address used for passwordless login.
Child usage information: To provide the educational service, we collect gameplay data tied to the account, such as math progress, scores, statistics, playtime, rewards earned, and settings/preferences.
Payment information: Subscriptions are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
We do not collect precise geolocation, and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers in the Service.
2. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Math Quest is designed for use by children, including children under 13, only through a parent or legal guardian's account and with that parent's consent.
- We collect the limited usage information described above solely to operate and improve the educational Service.
- We do not require children to provide personal information directly.
- Parental rights: A parent may at any time review the information collected about their child, request its deletion, or refuse further collection by contacting us and/or deleting the account. We will respond to verified parental requests promptly.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service (including personalizing difficulty and tracking progress);
- Manage accounts, subscriptions, and billing (via Stripe);
- Send transactional emails (such as login links);
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure session handling. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and usage information for as long as the account is active. When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymize associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Choices
- Access and deletion: Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your or your child's information.
- Emails: Login emails are transactional and required for the Service; we do not send marketing emails.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting children's data will be communicated to parents.
